What would be your “dream job” in life?

Although I adore the field of teaching that I currently am in, my dream job would definitely be taking it to the next level and combining travelling along with it. I would love to go to different countries and teach students with different backgrounds and cultures. I think that would be an eye opener coming from a country like Canada where we are so lucky to have all the facilities we do.

I would love to go abroad and work in a developing country not only teaching kids but also spend time taking part in volunteering my time to help communities put together the facilities and classrooms they need in order for students to call a place school.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

An unusual job that I’ve had when I was younger was being my next door neighbour’s dog walker. When I was younger I always wanted a dog and my parents wouldn’t buy me one because they thought I wouldn’t handle it on my own, that and my Mom is Mrs. Clean. So my parents and neighbour decided to let me take on the role to prove myself. The job lasted about two months, until I got sick of walking him in the middle of February in -20. I still don’t have a dogJ

Where is the most interesting place you have been?

INDIA 2008! Before this the last time I had gone was when I was 10 years old (and I didn’t remember much of it). I took the trip with my parents for my cousins wedding and was blown away. I had the opportunity to go back to my roots and experience a place with an amazing culture but also at the same time a country with extreme poverty. I experienced a culture where family is at the forefront which made me realize why my parents raised me with such a strong family base.

I stayed for 4 weeks and experienced an extremely different life style where life wasn’t constantly “on-the-go” as we so many times experience here with such busy schedules. It was also an extreme eye opener, and allowed me to look at what I have and count my lucky stars for everything and everyone that I’ve been blessed so dearly with. Since that trip I now have gone back twice and love it more each time!

What is your philosophy of/in life?

“God can dream a bigger dream for you than you can dream for yourself”.
