What would be your “dream job” in life?

Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed about being an actress in Hollywood. I love performing on stage and in front of a camera, so acting would be my absolute dream job. My other dream job is to be successful in the advertising industry, I love putting my creativity to good use and being involved with the media.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

The most interesting job I have had would be working at Moxies Classic Grill. I have worked with Moxies for four years now as a hostess at first, and now I am a server. As a server I always come across new guests with different stories as to why they are going out for dinner or just their lives in general.

I love meeting new people and getting to know them better, and when you are serving a table, you are providing them with a service, but you are also seeking out conversation with them as well as establishing regulars for yourself. You always want your guests to feel welcome and valued. With so many people I have met at Moxies, even with just how close our staff is, there is never a dull moment, and it is a very fun, outgoing atmosphere.

Where is the most interesting place you have been?

I have been very fortunate growing up that my parents were able to provide a very amazing childhood for my sister and myself that we have been able to travel to many different countries. With that being said, it is very difficult for me to choose the most interesting place, as each location is always so unique. However if I had to choose the most interesting vacation I have been on I would have to say our trip to Italy and cruise in the Eastern Mediterranean  in the summer of 2009.

It was a two and a half week vacation beginning in the beautiful Tuscan countryside near Sienna, Italy. We then sailed for ten days travelling from Civateveccia, Italy, to Dubrovnik, Croatia, through Santorini, Athens, Corfu, and Olympia, Greece, Kusadasi, Turkey and finally Messina, Sicily. Finishing  our vacation with a few days in Roma, Italy was fantastic. This trip was nothing but amazing, seeing, tasting and touching each of the different cultures, even though it was only for an instant.  Each location with its unique qualities, history and beauty, made it memorable and special.

What is your philosophy of/in life?

My philosophy in life is that “Life is beautiful and to not take it for granted”. A friend of mine that was loved by so many people passed away last year, a month before he turned twenty years old. It was a shock to everyone, and it really made a lot of my friends and people I had grown up with in the community re-evaluate our lives and our purpose in life. In light of his death and as a constant reminder I had “La vita e bella” (which means “Life is beautiful” in Italian), tattooed on my right shoulder, made up of a heart and two swans.

I felt this was very significant because it would commemorate what I had learnt from this tragedy and to not dwell on it, but to do something about it instead. I have learnt to appreciate the life I have, because at any point it could be taken away from you. I strongly believe that life is not a right; it is a blessing, and it is up to ourselves to make it the best we can, because we only have one chance to live it.
