18-year old Shalanda Spencer attends Ryerson University studying broadcasting. Her ambition is to be a positive role model for young people.
Shalanda’s projection for the pageant is internal and external beauty. Shalanda is a strong dreamer and she focuses on those dreams to obtain her goals.
Her mother is her admiration and a great example she follows. She’s confident, creative and compassionate.
Shalanda combines the color and beauty of a butterfly, the speed and dazzle of lightening, the strength and courage of a lion, the unwavering ambition symbolized by the north star, the pristine and peaceful ambience of Jamaica and the grace and poise of an Indian Princess.
Shalanda loves fashion and she takes pride into her shoes because she believes that a women can conquer the World as long as she is wearing the right pair. In this pageant Shalanda had stated that ‘there is only one driving force: DESIRE – it is my desire to succeed that pushes me to actively work before, during and after the pageant’.
Shalanda respects and appreciates the difference in cultures and this is why it would be wonderful to share a good time with such talented beautiful women in the most multi-cultural place where she calls home, Toronto.
