Namal Chaudhry is currently in her second year at Ryerson University and hopes to become a nurse one day. Namal has been a proud member of the Canadian Military as an Infantry Soldier for 2 years and will be changing her trade in the military as a Nursing officer once she has her degree. She also works part time as a promotional representative at Extreme Fitness and loves to workout and stay very healthy while motivating others to do so as well.
She loves traveling and helping people and has done a lot of charity and volunteer work. Last summer Namal traveled to Costa Rica to work with HIV/AIDS patients. She has also done the CN tower climb in 19 minutes for WWF and helps fund raise for Humanity First. Namal enjoys skydiving, bungee jumping, snow boarding and spending time with her friends and family. She feels that everyone is capable of doing anything they can imagine and wants to motivate other females as well and prove to everyone that anything in life is possible.
Namal wants to represent the multiculturalism and the strong women in Canada. She believes that every lady is capable of being strong, beautiful, smart and giving all at the same time. “When you become detached mentally from yourself and concentrate on helping other people with their difficulties, you will be able to cope with your own more effectively. Somehow, the act of self-giving is a personal power-releasing factor.” One of her biggest role model is Mother Teresa and one day she hopes to have been able to inspire and help people in the world as much as she did. She wants to help get rid of the biggest poverty this world has which isn’t just hunger, but it’s the hunger for love that everyone craves.
