Clarice Ching

Age: 25 |  Height: 5’2″
Hometown: Toronto

Clarice graduated from the Social Service Worker program for Mental Health and Addictions from George Brown College. While in school, she had two co-operative placements during her two year program.

Clarice’s first placement was working with dually diagnosed youth, individuals living with mental illness and a co-occurring developmental disability. Through her interactions at the Centre, she became so inspired by the staff and youth that she sought additional funding on her own accord.

She managed to raise approximately $500.00 for the Centre, which was put towards much needed athletic equipment and other items.   Her second placement was working in the policy and research department of an organization that helps promote awareness of individuals and families living with Schizophrenia. She became exposed to circumstances which have shaped her development and influenced her life for the better.

One of the greatest lessons she’s learned from working with the clients and staff is that the simplest of gestures can help someone, and more often than not better their lives. She currently works for a great organization that assists individuals that are out of employment, to achieve their career goals, and to succeed in the future. She has learned that anyone at any given time can fall victim to this situation and has taken this to heart.   She believes in helping those who need it whenever possible.

In her free time, Clarice works as a print model for various projects.  She would ultimately like to become a spokes model and align herself with brands and organizations that share her values and beliefs of being environmentally conscious and respectful of the planet. Her focus remains on when and where she can be of service to individuals, their families and societies affected by various negative factors.

Her future goals, to be accomplished within the next few years, are to move to Los Angeles to pursue modeling and acting, to open her own specialty brunch restaurant and design a bikini/bathing suit line. Clarice would like to travel to various places, where she would be exposed to new experiences and cultures, learning as much as possible along the way. She would like to volunteer for various humanitarian causes where her experiences and new found knowledge can be applied, but where she can also continue to learn and grow as an individual.

Her hobbies include, working out, trying new recipes, watching the discovery channel, and spending time with her dog, family and friends. Her personal motto is to live an extraordinary life, to live the life you want.
