Christine Yu, 23, is a graduating student at Laurentian University in the Business Administration degree program and is now a banking officer. Born and raised in Norfolk County, she aspires to become a great role model in her community. She loves meeting new people and embraces new opportunities and experiences.
Christine has an appreciation for art and devotes many hours learning the movements of Latin dancing. During her spare time she likes to cook, read, and exercise. Spending quality time with her family and friends is very important to her. She hopes to further her career in the medical field and become a doctor one day.
Her dream job is to become involved with organizations around the world that help promote and seek higher qualities of life whether it is through medicinal or educational purposes.
One of her hopes in life is to be able to use her life experiences, skills and talents to positively impact and motivate others around her to become whoever they want to become and to not be afraid of the challenges. As Miss Universe Canada, Christine would use the title to empower young women at home and globally by promoting her platform of living a healthy lifestyle by choice.
