Karen is an enthusiastic, caring, and intelligent woman who believes in living everyday as if it’s her last. She views each day as a new opportunity to achieve great things. Karen is a graduate of Early Childhood Development and most recently has received a diploma in Practical Nursing from George Brown College in Toronto. Professionally, Karen is dedicated to choosing a career that allows her to effect positive change in people’s lives. Karen’s never ending desire to do something crazy has resulted in the creation of her own bucket list. Bungee jumping and skydiving have already been checked off with her assurance there is much more to come. Since childhood, sports have always been her passion; baseball, soccer, basketball, and snowboarding to name just a few. In her free time, Karen enjoys the company of friends and family and tries to visit her hometown of Chelsea, Quebec as much as possible.
Karen maintains a strong belief in the capacity of individuals to achieve their dreams and is honoured to be representing Canada, a country that promotes freedom and opportunity. Karen is inspired by her favourite television personality, Ellen Degeneres because of her continued assistance to the less fortunate and her ability to connect with people through humour. If Karen is chosen as the next Miss Universe Canada she would focus on fundraising for multiple charities, striving to improve the lives of those in need. The opportunities provided by winning Miss Universe Canada would allow Karen to fulfill her dream of making a positive impact in the life of individuals.
