Shengnan Li was born in China and grows up in a fusion of eastern and western cultures. She is very proud to call Canada home, a wonderful country with diverse cultures, beautiful ecological environments and abundant resources.

After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction in specialist in Commerce & Finance, major in Economics and minor in Maths, she is now pursuing financial engineer in a corporation in Toronto. She loves modelling as well and she has been a fashion model for three years.

Shengnan is endowed with the talent in playing musical instruments -- RCM Grade 10 Piano certificate; good at playing the guitar and GuZheng, which is a Chinese traditional string instrument. She is also good at sports – especially figure/speed skating and playing tennis. Those musical accomplishments and sport engagements make her gentle, optimistic, and strong personalities.

One of her dreams is being Miss Universe Canada, because she looks on Miss Universe as an angel in the world, everywhere that she goes will bring people help and relief and let them see the embodiment of beauty, wisdom, goodness and courage. She believes in the saying “a watched flower never blooms, but an untended willow grows.” Shengnan is grateful for the support of her family and friends.
