Paisley McNab was born on November
8th 1990 in Hamilton, Ontario. She comes from a family with deep
British roots. Her father was born in Scotland and her mother
is of English and Irish decent. Paisley loves animals. She has
been a vegetarian since the age of ten because of her strong belief
in animal rights. Growing up, Paisley was a competitive Irish
dancer and has also been involved in ballet, hip-hop, soccer,
competitive cheerleading, drums, karate and figure skating.
Paisley is currently in her second year at McMaster University
where she is double majoring in Psychology and Religious Studies.
Paisley aspires to continue school and get her Ph.D in order to
become a child psychologist. Once she has achieved this goal,
she hopes to utilize her personal experiences in order to help
teens with depression, anxiety and eating disorders. Paisley is
also on the Cheerleading team and the Hindu Students Association
at McMaster.
Paisley was honored to be the 2008 recipient of the Paul Harris
Fellowship Award for her volunteer work with the Cancer Assistance
Program. She has also volunteered over 300 hours for various different
charities in her community. Paisley also takes pride in her cultured
personality. She loves learning about new cultures and living
in the multicultural country of Canada has been very beneficial
to this passion.
Paisley is no stranger to pageants. She is the former Miss Teen
Southern Ontario 2007, Miss Teen Canada Globe 2007, and Miss Teen
Worldwide 2008. Competing in the Miss Teen Worldwide competition
in Trinidad in Tobago was one of the greatest experiences in her
life to date.
