Irene was born in South America in the city of Lima, Peru. She moved to Canada at the age of two with her family. Irene is an optimistic, and caring girl who is passionate about life. She speaks English, Shanghainese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and is continuing to learn French and Spanish. With her diverse cultural upbringing, Irene embraces all aspects of the world with respect and enthusiasm.

Irene is obtaining her graduate gemologist degree and is an accomplished artist, jewelry designer and pianist. She loves learning about new places, people and things. She has been involved in many charities where she has donated her time and artworks to help promote their causes.

Irene is a proud Canadian and believes the world needs to be environmentally and socially healthier. Her goal is to win the title of Miss Universe Canada 2010 and contribute to society by spreading awareness to people to help make a better difference in this world.
