Geeta Amrita was born in Edmonton and moved to Toronto as a child. A graduate of the Creative Advertising program at Seneca College, Geeta is now a sales consultant for Avario Healthcare. She is also a part-time student studying for her certificate in cosmetology. In her leisure time, she pursues her passion for writing as an intern for Anokhi Magazine, writes and conducts interviews for SundayEssentials.com and would like to one day have a novel published.

Although she often gets caught up in her writing, her dream of helping people hasn't faded. Through her many years working with children and youth in various Toronto high priority neighbourhoods, Geeta is driven to launch not one, but two not for profit organizations; one for youth and another for abused women. Geeta feels that helping people realize their strengths and passions can help them achieve their goals and dreams.

Geeta believes that dreams are something everyone should have, hold on to and never let go.
