AGE: 19 | HEIGHT: 5'9" | HOMETOWN: OTTAWA, ON

Born in Canada to Middle Eastern parents, Alesia has had the privilege of living in diversity and learning from it since childhood. In elementary, she was placed into a French-speaking school with no background of the language, but kept with it until she graduated from high school.

To build her language platform, she went to Arabic school at a young age with much encouragement from her parents, and learned Spanish in high school. By the age of 17, Alesia was already quadrilingual. She has also had the opportunity to travel to many countries that put the knowledge of these languages into practice.

Now at the University of Ottawa, Alesia is studying to become a professional French-to-English Translator, all while working towards a Minor in Arabic Language and Culture. Later on, she plans on learning other languages including Russian, German, Mandarin and American Sign Language. She dreams of being a part of the United Nations one day.

In her spare time, Alesia loves to work out, read books of adventurous, psychological or historical nature, spend time with family and friends, try new things and make people laugh.
