What would be your "dream job" in life?
I'm a girl that has dreams, I've been dreaming about being a Flight Attendant with the prettiest uniform and the most charming smile greeting the people from all over the world. As time goes by, I realize that it's important that my "dream job" encompass woman's personal value, charm, intelligence, independence and passion.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
My Aunt Shuqin has had the most influence in my life. She is an intelligent, independent, and passionate woman. She is my role model and my measure of success. She made me learn how to keep an optimistic attitude to face this complex but wonderful world, and I learned to look at the world with love and appreciation.

What is the proudest personal accomplishment (other than being in this or any other beauty pageant competition)
My proudest personal accomplishment is appreciating life. I always welcome challenge, no matter where I am, no matter what language I am speaking, as long as I tried my best then there is no regret. I appreciate my parents bringing me to Canada this beautiful diverse country, where no dream is out of reach.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is to be passionate, thankful, and happy in my professional life. I'm pursuing a degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, and at the same time I invest lots of time in fashion and dance. I always believe that I can find a perfect way to combine nutrition and fashion, and lead people to find a fashionable, healthy and happy lifestyle in the fast changing society.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in a beautiful small city in China. I'm the only child in my family, and my childhood was surrounded by family and friends. I spent most of my weekends and summer days practicing dance and piano. I loved to play with my friends in my neighbourhood after school, and I especially liked to play hula-hoop to see if I could keep it on my waist and never fall off to the floor.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.
It is really fun to be a dance teacher for children. I have to learn how to make them excited about dancing but not too much to make the whole class out of control. one of the funniest thing I remember is I had to ask a 6 years old boy dance with a group of 6 years old girls , because there wasn't enough girls in the class . His move was so good that I couldn't really tell there was a boy dancing among the girls when they were wearing the same costumes.

List any volunteering you have done.
I was a volunteer in the Maple Leaf World Diving Competition 2008, it was a great experience, and I got the chance to meet the top divers from all over the world.
In the past three years, I've been volunteering throughout my community on weekends, helping out the seniors involved in community actives, and organizing fundraising events.

Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I haven't done much international travelling so far. I'd love to see more parts of the world. At the same time, I'm really proud of my hometown Montreal. So for now the most interesting place I've been must be Vieux-port de Montreal. The Vieux-port has a traditional Quebecois atmosphere and is filled with history. The breathtaking weekly fireworks, beautiful souvenir shops, romantic night life, various restaurants and outdoor entertainment make the Vieux-port a wonderful place all the time. It is also a nice place to relax. I love to go there to take a break from the busy downtown streets, to enjoy the view onto the St Laurent River, to feel the calm peace.

What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I personally think I have the most charming smile; it comes from deep in my heart. I want to give this simile to everyone whom I meet in my life and the people I might or might not meet in the future as a precious gift. It contains the ability of loving, sharing, understanding, and the will to build the world friendship bridge with 6 billion people in the world.

What is your philosophy of/in life?
Don't predict the future; we are the ones to create the future.
No matter how high the sky is, as long as we tried our best, we can always reach the sunshine.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I hope I can continue to study Health and Nutrition while staying involved in the field of fashion and entertainment. I'm willing to embrace the ones who need help, share my knowledge and experience with them. And finally discover a fashionable, healthy, and loving style of life.

Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?
Growing up in a fusion of western and eastern cultures, I'm really grateful for the value I obtained from both great cultures. I appreciate and cherish every single moment in my life.

I was a perfectionist, when I was little, I wouldn't go to dance practice with even one little piece of hair not tied well, and everything about me had to me perfect, in front of the mirror if I couldn't dance as well as I thought I would be really sad. The more I experienced life, gradually I got the encouragement to tell myself "it's ok", nothing can ever be perfect, of course we should never stop trying to do better, but as long as we tried, there's nothing to regret.
