I have supported the Breast Cancer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Raptors Foundation, and SOS Children Villages.

What would be your "dream job" in life?
My dream job is to be a Goodwill Ambassador, so I can explore the world, meet new people, help the ones in need, create a smile or two, and advocate causes related to orphaned children, education of the youth, and women's rights. I would love to be able to make a difference by drawing attention to important issues around the world. Nothing is more fulfilling than mastering the art of giving; it creates such joy and satisfaction.

NAME ONE PERSON, OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE MOST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? WHY?
My friend Aideen has had a major influence on my life. He taught me how to be a better person by being more patient in life. In addition, he taught me how to meditate and use the power of mind to achieve my goals and to live a stress-free life.

WHAT IS THE PROUDEST PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT (OTHER THAN BEING IN THIS OR ANY OTHER BEAUTY PAGEANT COMPETITION)
When I was 14 years old, I achieved a Gold Medal in the 2002 Provincial Math Olympics in Fars Province, Iran. A few months after the competition I was invited to a seminar on mathematics, where I accepted my award and spoke for ten minutes in front of an audience of 600, including many distinguished professors and scholars from all over the country. It was truly an amazing experience. I ended my speech by reciting a poem I had written on mathematics and the life of a mathematician. So far this has been my proudest personal moment and accomplishment.

WHAT IS YOUR CAREER AMBITION AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING OR PLAN TO DO TO ACCOMPLISH THAT GOAL?

My career ambition is to become a surgeon, specializing in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
My goal is to have my own clinic equipped with the most advanced technology and eventually be able to expand the business around the world. As a doctor, my passion is to become well acquainted with the Health & Beauty industry so that I will be able to volunteer my specialized services in developing countries. I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Toronto and after completing my undergraduate studies, I am planning to enter Medical School.

DESCRIBE WHERE YOU WERE RAISED AND WHAT YOUR CHILDHOOD WAS LIKE.
I was born and raised in Shiraz, Iran. My father was a university professor in Agriculture and was specialized in Horticulture and Citrus Plants. In addition, he owned agricultural land outside the city and I would always enjoy going to the citrus orchard with him. I enjoyed playing outdoors and playing with animals and experiencing all that nature had to offer. Furthermore, we had to travel to different provinces, since my father was transferred to different universities on several occasions. Therefore, from an early age, I became accustomed to adapting to new environments, meeting new people, making new friends, and experiencing new things. During the years we lived in Shiraz, I would play in the orchard on the weekends and go to school during the week. Throughout my childhood, I learned how to paint, sew, bake cakes, and make things by helping my mom who was an Art Teacher and taught me how to be a strong, caring, and loving woman.

LIST ANY INTERESTING OR UNUSUAL JOBS YOU MAY HAVE HAD.
At the age of 13, I used to make a tanning lotion with 28 different ingredients and would sell it at the swimming pool at which I used to practice.

LIST ANY VOLUNTEERING YOU HAVE DONE.
- Offering health & beauty treatments to women in a women's shelter
- Offering manicure services to seniors living at Bayview Extendicare
- Cultural assistance at the University Of Toronto, ELP Program
- Relay for Life (Canadian Cancer Society)
- Pink Ribbon Drive (Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation)
- Eva's Initiative (Raptors Foundation)
- Modelled in various fashion shows to support Breast Cancer Society

WHERE IS THE MOST INTERESTING PLACE YOU HAVE BEEN?
Dubai! The concept of bringing up the ocean floor to create space to live makes sense strategically, economically, and naturally. Dubai is a tax-free port city and a shopping haven for everything from clothes and cosmetics to automobiles and electronics.

WHAT MAKES YOU UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER CONTESTANTS?
I believe each contestant is unique in her own way and that we are truly a diverse and accomplished group of people. As individuals we must embrace our heritage and be proud of the values that help to create this diversity. "Diversity is the one true thing we all have in common." I have learned to celebrate, welcome, and accept who I am, which has helped me generate self awareness and confidence. I have realized that if you have confidence in yourself, you will gain the confidence of others. A common guiding principle among all contestants should be to promote the belief that our academic backgrounds and life experiences will serve to improve and enhance our learning and hopefully through learning we can enrich the lives of others.

WHAT IS YOUR PHILOSOPHY OF/IN LIFE?
Life is not what you make of it; life is how you perceive it. The way I perceive it, with a positive attitude, there is absolutely nothing that one cannot do in life; it's just a matter of determination. I believe peace, the end of discrimination of all kinds, and social unity do not come about naturally. One needs to prevent and cure the worst causes, namely: unemployment, poverty, exclusion, discrimination, marginalization, and violence of all kinds. We need to have the appropriate knowledge, abilities, and values to do this, which call for devoting more time to our training and to developing new concepts. I have discovered that school is a privileged environment and how learning can break down barriers and positively affect people's lives. I believe children in underprivileged societies deserve the same right, the right to free and accessible public education. It is through education that people will expand their horizons and open their mind to see the bigger picture. As Malcolm Forbes said, "Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one." Once you open your mind, the possibilities in life are limitless!

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO BE DOING IN 10 YEARS?
Considering my goal is to become a plastic surgeon, in ten years I will be close to finishing my studies and hopefully by then I will also be equipped with practical experience through travelling, meeting and engaging with different people, and exploring what life has to offer. Throughout this adventure, if I manage to perceive the social and cultural distinctions that are generally overlooked by others, it will help me improve my understanding of life and how to effectively give back to people who need our help the most.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF? SOMETHING UNIQUE THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU? SOME INTERESTING THING ABOUT YOU?
My birthday is on July 1st, Canada Day!
