What would be your "dream job" in life?
Morning Talk Show Host or business owner

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life?  Why?
My grade seven teacher Michelle Weibe. She always inspired me to strive for what I wanted in life, and to always remain true to myself, and my morals.

What is the proudest personal accomplishment (other than being in this or any other beauty pageant competition)
My proudest personal accomplishment would be to have had the courage to leave my family and friends, and move to Calgary.  I am so happy I made the choice to move, and be on my own.  It has given me the opportunities to reach the goals in which I set for myself, and to continue to succeed in all that I do.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is to one day be the owner of my own business. What I have done so far, is taken the schooling in the trade in which I want my business to be in. I have continued to work in the profession I am most interested in, and will be furthering my education in the fall of 2009. My passion right now is hairstyling, and I would love to have my own salon one day. I will take courses in business in the near future, and gain experience in both the technical and business side of salon ownership.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in northern British Columbia. The town is called Fort St. John, and only has about 18 000 people. I had a wonderful childhood. I was raised by my parents, and with one older sister.  I was fortunate to have both of my parents love, and to have them support me in anything that I wished to do. I started figure skating at age 3, and continued to do so until I was 18. Most of my childhood was spent at the skating arena in the winter and on summer vacations to southern BC, and all over the United States during the summer. Although I grew up in a small town, there was plenty to do.  It was safe enough to ride my bike wherever I pleased, and to make friends with everyone. I wouldn’t have changed anything about my childhood. It was close to perfect.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.
I have always loved the jobs that I have had, but I wouldn’t say they were very unusual. I’ve worked in retail, restaurants, and hair salons.  They have all had interesting experiences, and I have met many interesting people.

List any volunteering you have done.
SPCA- walking dogs twice a week.
Arbi Rehabilitation – helping rehabilitate people with accidental brain injuries.

Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I have travelled quite a bit, and one of the most interesting places I have been would be Memphis. I got to be in Graceland on the 20 year anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death. I got to tour his home, and see how he lived. He is such an icon, and it was amazing to see where he got to spend his day-to-day life.

What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
What makes me unique and different from the other contestants, is that I am upbeat, and exciting. I don’t have a sob story, or come from a horrible childhood. I am actually extremely fortunate, and have had such a wonderful life so far.  The thing that makes me different would be that I am so appreciative of all that I have.

Not a day goes by, where I don’t tell my family that I love them, and I truly mean it. I have had such great opportunities, and I can honestly say that I have used every one of them to their full advantage. I don’t expect handouts, but I do believe in using what I have, to get what I want.  I once read that a woman should know how to use what Mother Nature gave her, before father time takes it away. Well, Mother Nature has given me the gift of inner and outer beauty. It is my job to do all that I can with that, before the opportunities are lost. I am different and unique in a way that I am aware of my abilities and talents…and I know how to use them.

What is your philosophy of/in life?
My philosophy in life is to be the best that I can possibly be. I want to be satisfied and happy, in all aspects of my life. I know that if I do good things, good things will come to me.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In ten years I will be 30 years old.  As long as I am happy, successful, and doing what I love, then that’s all I can hope for.
Although, it would be nice if it involved a successful career, loving husband, 2 kids and a white picket fence.

Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself?  Something unique that has happened to you?  Some interesting thing about you?
Something I would like to tell you about myself…I can honestly say that I am a good person.  I know that I can make people smile and brighten their day. I take pride in knowing that I can lift someone’s spirits. It can sometimes only take one person to make or break your day. And I love being the person that makes that day a wonderful one.  I have had experiences where people have gotten upset with me, or not made I feel very good. From that I have learned to not let simple things get me down and how to put humour into everyday life.

I know that if there is something in life that I want, I will get it.  It may not be what I thought I wanted, but everything always has a way of working itself out.  Someone told me that to get what I wanted; I only had to know four things. They were: look like a girl, act like a lady, think like a man, and work like a dog. I have tried my best to use this in everyday life, and have done well so far.
