I am driven to create a life where I am promoting and encouraging balanced eating, spiritual healing and working in preventative health. I am dedicated to helping others achieve their optimal health. I have spent time in San Diego California at the “Optimum Health Institute of California” studying the benefits of RAW food where I received my certification in Raw Food Preparation and while I was there my story was featured in the award-winning documentary, “Super Charge Me” inspired by & opposite of "Super Size Me”.

List any special training you have had (music, art, drama, dance, etc).
In my spare time, I regularly pursue my passion for singing. In the past year I have trained with singing coaches from Broadway Musicals such as "Chicago" while working on a CBS pilot in Los Angeles, California. I am currently writing, singing and working in studio with music producer Jenson Vaughan based out of Vancouver. During my high school years I trained in Choir and musical theatre. My other training includes competitive dance and I also have been actively pursuing my acting career and have trained with a well known acting teacher Neil Schell in Vancouver, B.C.
What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over past two years?
During the Miss World Canada Pageant in Toronto in July 2005, I was awarded with the "People Choice" award where I received the most votes nationwide. I was also in the top five for fund raising towards the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) and Cops for Cancer. It was in fact a chance for me to raise money for a specific cause that was very close to my heart. I placed first runner-up and raised thousands of dollars for the Canadian Cancer Society, and I continue to give good meaning to the Miss World mantra, "Beauty with a Purpose”.
What would be your "dream job" in life?
To open a facility in which I can promote health and well-being. I would like to be an active component towards preventive health and bring awareness to such diseases such as cancer and diabetes. In addition to these dreams I also aspire to continue to record music and eventually sing for the world. I believe music is love and is one of the most powerful healing tools necessary for health and happiness.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
My Grandmother’s strength has inspired me beyond belief. She was one of whom you could compare to Queen Elizabeth, her beauty and grace was that of a movie star. Her quiet strength is what made me believe she was the strongest person I know. She was graceful at every age and recently passed away. I aspire to be as strong, intelligent and graceful as some of our great beauties such as Angelina Jolie, Audrey Hepburn, Mother Theresa and as my loving Grandmother Barbara Cappon.
What is the proudest personal accomplishment (other than being in this or any other beauty pageant competition)
At 15 years old I was diagnosed with Giant Cell Tumour. This was a form of cancer that strikes more children than adults. Very often this rare form of cancer does not spread. At the age of 20, during a day at work I discovered a side effect that brought me into emergency. The result was 28 tumours in the left and right lung which had spread from the knee. Spending the summer at Vancouver General Hospital in 2004 I endured four major surgeries. With the love and support from family and friends I discovered a blessing in disguise. This part of my life has led me on a path of exploring the world and making a difference and to have the ability to inspire others is a gift in itself. I am proud of this accomplishment and it will always be my biggest accomplishment to date.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
Currently, I aspire to spend time at The Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA to obtain my Gourmet Raw Food Chef Certification and eventually open a raw food inspired health retreat where I can utilize my compassion and knowledge to prevent and rehabilitate disease.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born in Vancouver British Columbia, surrounded by a loving family and grew-up on the humbling farmlands of Saltspring Island. I attended Gulf Islands Secondary School, a small high school where I graduated at the age of 17. My father is a helicopter pilot and as a child I spent countless days exploring the west coast at its best and spent most of my time in the lush outdoors camping, boating and traveling.

A little town just west of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil where I spent six weeks with a famous healer 'John of God' a man who has been known to heal and cure illness and disease with the unconscious power of the mind.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
My battle with cancer has become a blessing in disguise. I have had the opportunity to dedicate my life to bringing awareness to alternative and preventive medicine. I have captured the eyes of the media around the world in search of my story which has given me the opportunity to speak out about my personal experiences with Cancer in hopes to give love and hope to people around the world. I have been seen on networks and magazines such as 'Good Morning America', 'Jane Magazine', 'Inside Edition', 'German TV', 'ABC NEWS', 'The Times Colonist' and 'Supercharge Me' a documentary based on RAW food. Something physical that makes me unique would be my scars. On my back from the operations on my lungs (left and right) there are scars, in the shape of angel wings. I am proud to show them as they are a reminder that we can all overcome adversity with a little help. Love, endurance and strength with manifest this.
