What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over past two years?
What would be your "dream job" in life?
I’m not sure what exactly I would say my dream job is. I think anything that allows me to travel and allows me to have a life outside the work place and provide a good balance would be ideal.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
My aunt Sharon has probably had the biggest impact on me besides my parents. She has supported me on all my endeavours and has constantly encouraged me to follow my dreams. She’s given me the tools to succeed and has never stopped believing in me.
What is the proudest personal accomplishment (other than being in this or any other beauty pageant competition)?
I feel like I have yet to live my proudest accomplishments. I am certainly proud of what I’ve accomplished so far, for instance like getting accepted into law school at 21 years of age, but I really feel as though the best is yet to come.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
Currently my career ambition is simply to be a lawyer. My interests in different fields of law have shifted over the years but as it currently stands I have a great interest in travel, commerce and international affairs. In order to accomplish this goal, I plan on completing my 3rd year of common law next term and writing my bar exam.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in Ottawa. My childhood was active to say the least. I am virtually certain that I’ve tried out every possible sport from hockey to gymnastics. The majority of the summers I spent up at our family cottage...it was really great!
List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.
Most of my part time jobs have been in either the service industry or in retail...so unfortunately there’s nothing too interesting or particularly unusual about that.
List any volunteering you have done.
I am currently sitting on the law school’s executive council and am responsible for academic affairs. This entails putting organizing and putting on events such as small firm wine and cheeses and academic award ceremonies.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I would have to say Mikonos in the Greek Islands.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I think that would have to be my sense of humour. I just enjoy smiling...life’s too short not to have fun!
What is your philosophy of/in life?
Definitely “carpe diem”. Seize the day and live every single one like it is your last.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I hope to be an influential member of the legal community and would love to travel around the world working on international trade cases.
Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?
I am currently in the process of recording a song album!
