What would be your "dream job" in life?
I believe in Canada and what it stands for. My dream job would be to share Canada to the rest of the world by representing it on an international level admirably. To become Miss Universe Canada/Miss Universe is a responsibility, one that promotes tourism, charity and community involvement whilst being a good example in people’s life.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
My Brother, he has always taught me through his experience to always be myself. He has also helped me to understand that there is more to life than just meets the eye, and to get passionate about something you really believe in. He has kept me grounded and has given me guidance that has helped me become the best person I can be.
What is the proudest personal accomplishment (other than being in this or any other beauty pageant competition)?
My proudest accomplishment to date is being the youngest to make it onto the Calgary Stampeder Cheerleading team. I had to overcome many obstacles including personal ones, and although many people doubted me I still ended up believing in myself enough to have made the team. This in turn has elevated me to start teaching at a young age and choreographing for different artists.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is to open my own Integrative marketing company. I have graduated from the Marketing Management program at Mount Royal College. I will continue to work in the marketing/promotional field in-order to gain enough information and experience to successfully open up my own company in the future.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born in Accra, Ghana and moved to Canada when I was One year old. We had first moved to Montreal and Toronto for a few years before finally calling Calgary home. Being the younger of two children my childhood was full of laughter, spirituality and adventures. My parents always took time out of their busy schedule to accommodate our lifestyles. Having a huge extended family all over the world and my parents being well travelled provided many interesting insights about the world and our family as a whole. Every so often we will travel back to Ghana to visit family, but I will always call Canada home.

I have also done work with YVC (Youth Volunteer Corporation) where I would go into communities and clean up any trash or vandalism.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
The most interesting place I've been is Ghana. It is inspirational to see that although their standard of living may be different from ours their quality of life in some instances is greater. It does not take a lot for them to be happy and fulfilled creating an emphasis on family and healthiness. They are happy with what they have, instead of unhappy with what they don't. It has really made me a happier person because I try to always look at the positive things in life. I definitely think it is the most interesting place I have ever been to.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
Not knowing all the contestants, I can only say what makes me unique in general, which is my personality, background and experience. I am always making people laugh with my quirky humour. I know when to be serious, but know that there are also times when laughter is vital. I am a very positive person and know that all things will happen for a reason, so not to get hung up on the past but look towards the future.
Being born in Ghana has made me appreciate everything that has been given to me, including being able to speak in two languages and being a part of the multicultural community that defines Canada. I have experienced many things in life which has made me become a mature, determined, resilient and energetic woman having the ability to deal with anything unexpected thrown my way. All these things are what define me and make me unique.
What is your philosophy of/in life?
I have always lived by the saying: “Always stand for something, because if you don't you will fall for anything.” But, now since the election another quote has really inspired me further which is: “And when we are met with cynicism and doubt and fear and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit in three simple words -- yes, we can” – Barack Obama
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In ten years I hope to own my Marketing Company. I also hope to be married and have a happy family, good friends, and health.
Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?
My parents have sacrificed a lot for my brother and me, including at one point food. This has made me a strong individual, and although at times it has been hard to keep a positive outlook on life, I will always be happy with what I have been given. I will never sacrifice being myself for anyone else, ever. I will always be true to myself and what I believe in and stand for. I don't believe in “Cannot”, I have grown up a lot in the last few years and know that hard work, determination and resilience is what drives me. I now only believe in “I can”. I am positive that my experiences can be inspiring and helpful to others.
