Wemi is a passionate, optimistic and devoted
person. Born in Nigeria, and moved to Canada at the
age of ten, she is proud and grateful for the opportunities
she has in Canada that others might take for granted.
Currently in her second year of a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree at Wilfrid Laurier University,
Wemi strives to be an active member of society and her
community through various means such as being the host
of a radio program directed towards the optimism and
motivational aspect of life.
Wemi thrives off the fulfillment of helping others and making a difference in anyone’s life no matter the size. She has a love of writing and performing her spoken word poetry. She is presently aiming to publish her poems in her own collection, in order to help touch people’s lives. Her ultimate career goal is to develop into a motivational speaker for young promises of our future.
Recently involved in fundraising and representational
speaking for Seed of Life Philanthropic, Camp Jumoke,
Sick Kids, and various food drives, Wemi would like
to help raise money and/or awareness for issues such
as Sickle Cell Anemia, Cancer, poverty and internal
issues such as self esteem, self respect, education,
and the need to believe.
