Ledja was born in Albania, and moved to Toronto with her family when she was 19 years old.  She is a student at Ryerson University, studying Hospitality and Tourism Management.  She is currently employed with TD Canada Trust, and took one year off school to gain experience in the financial industry because her career goal is to own and manage a Boutique Hotel.

Coming to Canada and leaving her childhood memories, friends and relatives was a difficult transition, however, it soon revealed to be a far greater experience than she ever thought.  Ledja says her mother has played an important role in her life, and sacrificed her own career, left everything behind to give Ledja the opportunity, strength and passion to pursue her dreams.

She is a true believer of the golden rule: Learn to give that what you seek. She feels winning the title of Miss Universe Canada would be an excellent opportunity and a powerful position of endorsement for charity causes. She feels it would give her a chance to give back to the world in a different level, that of being a representative of this beautiful country.  She would like to help raise funds for children orphaned by poverty, war and natural disasters.

Ledja has volunteered for the Terry Fox Foundation, Albanian Canadian League and continues her involvement with the Sick Kids Fundraiser.  In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as Tennis, Volleyball, and also reading and spending time with her family.
