I have modeled in different fashion shows for hospitals
of foundations.
What would be your "dream job"
in life?
I would like to be a veterinarian or anything related
to medicine.
Name one person, other than your parents,
who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
Jojo Carrier-Thivierge has been my coach for the last
13 years. She is a model of success in my sport and also
in life. I spend at least 35 hours a week with her. She
teaches me everyday, the passion of my sport and she has
transmitted so many lessons of life.
What is the proudest personal accomplishment
(other than being in this or any other beauty pageant
competition)
I am proud of having received academics merits while
training full time and traveling for many competitions.
What is your career ambition and what
are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I would like more than anything to study to become
a veterinarian. I have already made a demand to enter
Montreal University next fall.
Describe where you were raised and what
your childhood was like.
I was raised in a small town near Quebec City. I lived
in a suburb with lots of children. My family is very close
and I am very lucky to have an older and younger brothers
that I love to spend time with. Summer vacation has always
been very special.
List any interesting or unusual jobs
you may have had.
I have been working for the past four summers with
young teenagers with mental and physical handicaps. I
work for the "Adaptavie" program that focuses
on sport integration of all kind. My job is to adapt many
sports according to different kinds of handicaps.
List any volunteering you have done.
I do lots of volunteer work for my Synchro club. I
am working on a project with other people to raise money
to help pay for the next international competitions.
Where is the most interesting place you
have been?
I have been lucky to travel overseas for my synchronized
swimming competitions. Italy is the most interesting.
What makes you unique and different from
the other contestants?
I am a young woman who loves sports and enjoys every
seconds of my life. I have traveled quite a bit and that
has developed my curiosity for other cultures.
What is your philosophy of/in life?
My philosophy of life is "go for it". The most
important part of it all is to never have any regrets.
We only have one life to live, let's live it at 100%.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I would love to have a small family and also have
a career as a veterinarian, maybe have my own clinic.
Is there anything you would like to tell
us about yourself? Something unique that has happened
to you? Some interesting thing about you?
When I was very young, I contracted a terrible disease.
I had meningitis and almost died. Doctors told my parents
that my character is what helped me get through the illness.
To this day I am a fighter.
