My dream job is to become a professional model and
pursue a career in the modeling industry. A great opportunity
to work with leading designers, furthermore experience
traveling the world while pursuing an exciting career.
Name one person, other than your parents,
who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
The person that has influenced me the most is Donald
Trump. I look up to Mr. Trump because I feel he is a very
dedicated person, passionate about his career and extremely
determined to succeed, to name just a few of his outstanding
characteristics. Based on his philosophy, to succeed in
life, one has to be totally dedicated and driven to achieve
whatever goals are set.

My proudest accomplishment was at the age of 18, pursuing

focused on my education. Indeed, I achieved a remarkable

first car. This achievement has shown me that, if one
sets their mind, one can achieve anything with perseverance.
What is your career ambition and what
are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
After completing my master's of education at Concordia
University, I would like and look forward to having the
opportunity to teach, in the secondary level. All it takes
is determination, dedication and hard work to make anything
possible as well as achieving your goal.
Describe where you were raised and what
your childhood was like.
I was born in Trinidad and Tobago, an island situated
in the Caribbean and known for its steel pan and calypso
music as well as annual Carnival celebrations of striking
costumes and wonderful music. I was raised in a large,
loving family; I grew up close to all my cousins, aunts
and uncles. My grandmother had 14 children and we all
are very close to one another.
Being from such a large
and very united family, I enjoyed and benefited from many
family outings. As the family is now more spread out in
different places worldwide, we have family reunions from
time to time to keep the family in touch and maintain
our strong relationships. Having such a strong connection
with my family leaves me assured that we are all there
for each other, no matter what.
List any interesting or unusual jobs
you may have had.
While working as a Receptionist for two Real Estate
firms, my mentor a real estate agent suggested that I
further my knowledge in this field by enrolling in a Real
Estate course. After obtaining my Affiliated Real Estate
Diploma, I returned to work for the company as an Affiliated
Agent for two years. Real estate is an interesting line
of work because it provides opportunities to help people
with making a lifetime decision.
List any volunteering you have done.
With a hectic schedule combining work and studies,
I have not had the privilege of volunteering in the past.
Nonetheless, my greatest ambition is to give back to society
by role modeling and becoming a spokesperson for organizations
looking to educate the public on good health.
In the summer of 2007, I volunteered at the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society of Canada. It was a wonderful experience
and I take pleasure being part of, world's largest voluntary
health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer
research, education and patient services. The Society's
mission is to fight and find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Where is the most interesting place you
have been?
The most interesting place I have ever been is right
here, in Canada. Moving to this wonderful country of opportunity,
freedom of choice and opinion, I was given the chance
to learn French and to further my education. What distinguishes
Canada from anywhere else is that it offers people from
all parts of the world the opportunity to live together
in harmony and mutual respect, no matter what their religion,
education, beliefs, or lifestyle may be.
What makes you unique and different from
the other contestants?
My experiences in life make me unique and different
from others, as I am a survivor of Lymphoma Hodgkin's
Cancer. This uncommon experience has given me an exceptionally
strong appreciation for life. I am grateful for each and
every experience I have discovered over time, which played
a significant role in my life. We all gain knowledge and
wisdom from the challenges, mistakes and achievements
we live.
What is your philosophy of/in life?
My philosophy in life is to follow your heart and to take
a chance to achieve whatever it is you would like to accomplish.
Believe in yourself, stay focused and remain determined,
no matter what obstacles you may surface. This approach
is the key to achieving any goal in life.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In 10 years, I hope to be a successful teacher and model
as well as a loving, caring mother. I want to be financially
stable to be able to provide my future children with a
great education, support and a sense of security, by helping
them with any decisions, mistakes and challenges they
may have to deal with.
Is there anything you would like to tell
us about yourself? Something unique that has happened
to you? Some interesting thing about you?
At the age of 19, I was diagnosed with Lymphoma Hodgkin's
Cancer, which was devastating news for my family, friends
and myself. My life was about to change drastically for
about one year. Excellent nurses and a brilliant doctor,
whom I will never forget, treated me with chemotherapy.
Throughout the treatment, I remained optimistic and strong,
even if it was one of the most difficult times in my life.
I had great support from my family and friends and, ever
since, I have been cancer-free and healthy. This challenging
experience has made me a much stronger human being and
has inspired me to share it with others and show them
that one can live and pursue a dream, even after a major
illness or difficulty in life.
