Samantha was born in Iran. At age 2 she moved to Canada. Samantha grew up in Vancouver with her parents and younger brother. She then moved to Toronto, where she commenced her modeling career and studied cosmetology. Samantha has achieved great success in the world of pageantry and feels at home on the stage.

Throughout all of her great achievements she has always managed to maintain a close relationship with her family and friends. She has recognized that the accomplishments that she has embarked on were for the keen and devoted support her friends and family have shown her.

Samantha has a passion for modeling and also enjoys, traveling, skating, keeping active, and dancing. One of Samantha's attributes is that she posses great leadership skills. She has been able to create many social events in Toronto's competitive entertainment industry by managing and directing. Being a young woman, and entering the difficult and demanding world of business, Samantha has shone and displayed an ambitious and fearless business woman. Being aware of where she is going and how she is getting there, Samantha always put her fears aside and faced the music with her heart at her sleeve. She has always been able to shine brightly among others, always remembering that the only thing to fear is fear itself.

Enthusiastic and thankful for all she’s been blessed with through family, friends, and being a part such a great nation, Samantha identifies her duties as a caring citizen and shows this through helping out in her community. She has encouraged others and relentlessly reminded them, that you are not needed to be paid for volunteering because your work is priceless.

Samantha believes everyone is blessed with life and we should not take things for granted. But instead savor the moments, and use our advantages to help others with disadvantages. There are many reasons why Samantha has always dreamed to be part of Miss Universe and represent Canada, one being the known fact that her country has always been a place where all people are treated equally, where differences are encouraged and appreciated, where people are inspired to speak without the harsh judgments of others. Representing such a beautiful and welcoming country would be an honorary experience that would never be forgotten.

What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over the past two years?
I have supported the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Canadian AIDS Society, Unicef Canada, Against Gun Violence, Brazilian Ball 2007.

What would be your dream job in life?
To wake up everyday in your life, and do those same tasks, have those same responsibilities and peruse those same objectives is quite challenging to contemplate. However, to wake up everyday and look forward to working and exploring is what makes my dream job applicable. My dream job is being an international model.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
People are always being influenced, whether it’s directly or obliquely by their environment. However those who have the strongest influence are those whom one can relate to. I’m proud to say the most influential person in my life would be my friend Pasha. He has displayed strength, ambition, leadership and determination. He has taken any downfall, and molded it into a comeback.

What is the proudest personal accomplishment?
Breaking down stereotypes and upholding changes in society is what keeps back new ideas in progress. My great ambition for modeling was blatant to my surroundings, and my thick desire was strong enough to break down any wrongful ideas. Therefore, my proudest accomplishment would be achieving that great degree of positive attitude that helps me get through anything in life.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is to have my own business in the entertainment field and it’s my choices and my strive that’s going to take me there. From helping out backstage at a Runway show, to being the centre of attention, everything I do will help me explore and get me closer to my aspiration. Through strict discipline and thoroughly taking each step to my goal, that one day my dedication will be defined.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like?
I grew up in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia with very loving parents that always tried their best to keep me happy. However, physical attributes such as being skinny set me aside from others. It was something that made it tough growing up. Children tend to pick on the quite shy kids and that was me. Being very shy made it difficult to surpass and live my life. Moving a lot didn’t help because it was hard to make new friends. But as I got older and I realized being shy just holds you back. What I learned was to accept myself and embrace my differences. It did not define me, but it did make me unique to others.

List any volunteering you have done.
I have modeled for several charity events.

Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to many places in world this year. Through this experience I learned everywhere has a beauty of its own. I have to say I can mention at least one enchanting place in every country I saw but my favorite that stuck with me has to be the incredible pyramids. The fascinating mystery of these remains capture me.

What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
Being involved with this organization is going to be extremely memorable, for it wasn’t just a competition but a gathering of girls working towards a common goal. What makes us different is our life experiences and what we are taught. I am a very courageous , determined, charismatic contestant. I will take a setback and work to my benefit and welfare, because I believe everything in life will help you, but its your job to find out how. I would fulfill all the duties of Miss Canada with pride and passion.

What is your philosophy of life?
Life is short enjoy it. Treat people how you would want to be treated. Do the best you can in everything you do and stay positive, persistent and dedicated . Life is what you make it don’t expect things to happen make them happen …appreciate life!

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
Running a business in the fashion or entertainment industry. Happily married raising my own family.

Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?
I have grown up moving a lot and always learning to adapt to change. There has been so many ups and downs but I believe things happen for a reason and your experiences make you who you are .
