Even as a young child Sabrina was drawn to music and dance and participated in the school choir starting from grade five, graduating to the BC Children's Choir.

Sabrina would like to experience teaching abroad in a third world country, and then continue in her pursuit of building a career as a professional singer and actress.

Given her interests in high school in drama, art, writing, choir and philosophy it seemed a natural progression for Sabrina to start compiling a modeling portfolio after graduating high school and for the last few years. In continuing to develop her creative and artistic skills Sabrina also formed her own amateur dance group in 2007 as a way of expressing movement through dance and music.

Sabrina has been fortunate in having the opportunity to experience first hand the diversity of dance and music in both the Indian and Greek cultures and blend them with her Canadian experience.

The unique composition of her personal heritage allows Sabina a greater understanding of Canada's multicultural population and she is excited to have the opportunity to be a voice for many people with the same cultural diversity.

In what sports, if any, have you participated and how long have you participated in each sport?
I represented my school in track and field competitions from grades 5-8. I also played basketball, soccer, and badminton throughout high school and was a cheerleader in grade 12.

I graduated from Killarney Secondary.

What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over past two years?
I have supported Habitat for Humanity by participating in the building process, Big Sisters, Big Brothers, BC Cancer Foundation.

What would be your "dream job" in life?
My dream job would be to perform as a dancer, singer or actress in different parts of the world. I'm also passionately interested in fashion designing.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
My grandmother has been a major influence in my life because she has contributed to my understanding of Indian culture and values.

What is the proudest personal accomplishment (other than being in this or any other beauty pageant competition)?
There are two accomplishments that I am very proud of.
Having a poem accepted for publication in the book entitled "The Window of Remembrance"
Making it to the top 70 out of 800 performers in the Canadian Idol competition.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My main ambition is to become a professional singer and actor. I plan to enroll in drama/acting classes, and also continue to sing with the choir. I am also passionately interested in fashion designing and I'm hoping to be able to move into that line of work in the future.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born in Winnipeg and moved to Vancouver at the age of three. My mom who is a single parent raised me in Vancouver with an older sister. While growing up I was always impressed by how hard my mom worked and how committed she was to my sister and me. She encouraged us to be involved in different clubs and activities thus giving us exposure to many possibilities.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.
When I was a young girl I sometimes helped my dad in his recycling business, which made me very aware of environmental issues that has led to a continuing interest in the environment.

List any volunteering you have done.
I am currently volunteering as a Big Sister, study buddy, so my purpose is to help my little sister with her homework, tests and projects, which in turn will help improve her skills in her classroom and boost her confidence in school.

Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I found my trip to Nicaragua very interesting because of its intriguing history. It was however distressing to see the rows of huts and humble dwellings of the less fortunate.

What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
My parents come from two different and interesting cultures (India/Greece), which gives me a unique background. This gives me a natural understanding of the various cultures that make up Canada; therefore I feel I am able to represent this rich and unique culture of Canada.

What is your philosophy of/in life?
My philosophy is to live my life without fear and take every opportunity to express my unique talents and myself.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I hope to be making music and movies that have a powerful impact on social issues while also providing entertainment.

Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?
I formed a dance group and choreographed several routines that we performed in night clubs. I also enjoy doing comedy routines for the entertainment of my grandparents.
