Courtney was born and raised in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. She is currently employed with Scotia Bank, where she is gaining knowledge and experience in the financial industry, to help her achieve her career goal in business.

For the past 15 years Courtney has spent much of her time pursuing her love for dance, and laughs at the fact that she cannot stand still. When Courtney isn't dancing she also enjoys taking in the great outdoors that the Okanagan has to offer, where she plays golf, tennis, and snowboards.

Courtney believes: with every experience, you alone are painting your own canvas, thought by thought, choice by choice. If she were given the opportunity of becoming Miss Universe Canada, Courtney would like to bring awareness to the issues of teen bullying and how it affects our youth of today. With that Courtney would love to become a role model for Canada's young women and teach them "you have to love your self inside and out before you can love another".

I have been Dancing for over 15 years, in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop.

I have been playing tennis for 15 YEARS, snowboarding for 12 years and Golfing for 5 years.

What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over past two years?
I have been active with The Breast Cancer Foundation, Alzheimer's, and United Way.

What would be your "dream job" in life?
My dream job in life would to be a T.V. sports caster.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life? Why?
Debbie Banks, because she has been my dance teacher for the past 16 years and has spent endless hours, making me not only the dancer i am to day but the person as well.

What is the proudest personal accomplishment (other than being in this or any other beauty pageant competition)
Completing all of my R.A.D ballet exams

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is to be in business and I am currently working at Scotia Bank, which I have been gaining knowledge and experience in the financial industry.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I am the youngest of 3, with 2 older brothers, Growing up the Okanagan I have had the experience of the beautiful lakes and world-class ski resorts. The Okanagan is also known for the ogopogo, wineries, and amazing golf courses.

List any volunteering you have done.
I have volunteered for many retirement homes, Alzheimer's walk, and danced at many community events.

Where is the most interesting place you have been?
China, I was nice to see how others live, and to see a different culture was amazing.

What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I'm a natural Blonde that loves to make people laugh.

What is your philosophy of/in life?
"You have to love your self inside and out before you can love another".

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In 10 years i hope to be a successful businesswomen, mother and to be an active member and role model in my community.

Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?
Not all hockey injuries occur on the ice, I have endured a puck in the eye, a broken nose, and a scarred chin.
