Brittney Kuczynski is an energetic 18 year old who stands as a proud Canadian. She was born in Mississauga to an Italian Mother and a Polish father, whom both greatly reflect the ambitious and charismatic person she is.

Her pursuit of accomplishments began at a young age in the film industry, where she gained a passion for not only the dramatic arts but also a new found inspiration of life.

Brittney is a first year student at the University of Toronto Mississauga, majoring in political science and later plans to attend law school. Brittney also hopes to continue her acting career in both film and theatre.

The world concerns have an influential effect on Brittney; she devotes spare time in the success and growth in foundations such as HIV/AIDS, Breast Cancer and Cystic Fibrosis. Brittney as well connects her resources to society in advocating for environmental conservation.

Yes. I work part time for DK Luxury Beauty in the organic/bio dynamic skin care industry

In what sports if any have you participated in and how long have you participated in each sport?
I have danced competitively for over 10 years, played soccer for 2 years, cheerleading for 2 years, track and field for 2 years and enjoy many out door activities such as cross country and downhill skiing, cycling, inline skating and playing tennis.

What charity/ charities have you supported with your time/ or resources over the past two years?
I have supported the Heart and Stroke foundation, organized a school event for Share Life, and Sixty- Five Roses for Cystic Fibrosis.

What would be your dream job in life?
As I am pursuing my academics in Law, my "dream career" would be acting in film.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence over your life? Why?
I describe my Grandmother Lucia Spezza, as the most knowledgeable, strong and loving person I have ever encountered. At the age of 68 and a cancer survivor, Lucia taught me courage and has inspired me to live life to the fullest- with no regrets. She has taught me to be appreciative, spontaneous and most of all; wise. She is without a doubt, a significant part of my growth as a human being and her words of wisdom and love will forever be thought upon.

What is the proudest personal accomplishment?
My proudest personal accomplishments were being chosen to act in a featured film and many television commercials. I have pride within myself to be able to balance my family life, a demanding academic career, social life, assisting in charity events and time to pursue my dreams.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is to be an actress and a positive figure of society. I am currently working hard to achieve high academics and pursuing all prerequisite to attend law school. In addition, I am taking acting lessons attending auditions for upcoming film work in Toronto.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood as like?
I was born in Mississauga, Ontario. I grew up in a family built around love and support for one another, whereby we followed each others ambitions and worked together to achieving success. As most of the males in my family are hockey players, we all acted upon the idea of a team and tackling both the ups and downs of life. I am genuinely blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people, whom I am proud to be part of.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you have had.
My most interesting job was my first featured film starring Bette Midler, Denis Farina and Paula Marshall, Produced by Carl Reiner. At 9 years old I was mesmerized at the preparation and elaborate sequences in the making of a film.

Where is the most interesting place you have been?
This past summer, I experienced the ultimate thrill in North Bay's cliffs where the people were jumping freely off 100 ft cliffs. After much contemplation I also took the plunge and it was an extremely exciting moment.

What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
Every delegate brings a unique quality to the competition, which in large, creates something beautiful. I believe my greatest quality is my charisma. I live my life in search for the goodness in people, and believe that with a confident positive approach on life and advertising a smile will result in an enlightened life.

What is your philosophy of/ in life?
I am a firm believer that we are in charge of our own destiny. If we put our mind, body and soul into our lives, we will achieve harmony! With this, we must accept who we are as unique individuals, granted the same freewill as every other human being we encounter; and by seeing the goodness in other people, we are seeing the goodness in ourselves. We are all put on this earth for a reason, and it is up to us to fulfill that destiny with confidence.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
When I think 10 years into the future, I see myself absorbed in a decade worth of life experiences, doing something I love and inspiring the people around me to join in! I see myself continuously working towards a greater goal, for there is no end to improvement. I also see myself in close touch with family and friends, and perhaps have a family of my own. And finally, I see myself as a mature adult who still acting upon her childhood ambitions and dreams.

Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Something interesting about you?
Since as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of being a positive role model representing my country. Though there were obstacles for my desires, I am here in the 2008 Miss Universe Canada national pageant, vying for this title. I think it is important for everyone to know that when you put your mind, body and soul into something you want, your dream will actually do come true. I am living proof!
