She is one of those rare people that can honestly say she loves her job - for the people she works with, for the daily challenges and for the opportunity to meet new faces every day. Having interviewed many nervous job candidates over the years, being in this competition she can now honestly say she knows how they must feel. When she's not at work, you can find Amy in the gym taking a boxing class, in the mall shopping for the perfect shoes or at Fresh Slice loading triple-hot chilli sauce onto her slice of cheese pizza.

One of her roles at work involves coordinating the donations for Altig's Food Bank program, so during her workday you can also catch Amy in one of her many famous, animated discussions with her team, motivating them to get clients to donate food.

Amy is incredibly dedicated to her relationships with her friends and family - their support and encouragement has helped her accomplish many of the goals she is most proud of. In 2006 and 2007, she had the opportunity to work as the host of the fashion segment for LTV - a Latin television network based in the USA that focused on Canadian living and entertainment.

She also still has the same three best friends she has had since she was 5 years old and they DEFINITELY keep her grounded! Her friends would describe her as reliable, understanding and empathetic. They would also say her weaknesses include bhangra music, adorable dogs, and anything made with potatoes.

Although she has a passion for travel and has visited beautiful places such as India, Mexico, England and France, for Amy, there is nothing like that feeling of saying "I'm Canadian" and knowing that is a universal, good thing. Canadians are internationally known for their generosity, humanity and multiculturalism - as is evident from the smiles and nods she gets when her country's flag is spotted on her luggage. She is proud to be a part of such an inspiring group of Canadian women and wishes all of her fellow contestants the best of luck!
