Laura is originally from Mexico and moved to Canada 7 years ago. She is a graduate from the Marketing Management program at George Brown College and the Broadcasting Program at the National Institute of Broadcasting. She is fluent in Spanish and English.

She has worked for different projects in the fashion and the Broadcasting industry, and she is currently working for Temple and Temple Tours developing a Marketing project to open market opportunities in Mexico.

She is a very passionate, active and sincere person who thinks that life’s triumphs are the result of hard work and effort. Since she was a little girl, she showed the love to arts and dancing, but especially the love of life and family.

Last year, she had the opportunity to participate in the Miss Hispanidad pageant and resulted elected to represent the Hispanic community in Ontario. Laura is very athletic and likes to occupy her spare time salsa dancing, writing and meditating. She also likes to travel and see new places.

Her goal is to become a TV host for a talk show, MTV or fashion television. For next year she is planning to study journalism at Ryerson University.

Laura feels proud to be part of the Miss Universe Canada and she wishes each of the contestants continued success.
