20 year old Ghazal was
born and raised in Tehran, Iran. Her parents are
from Azerbaijan and she came to Canada in 1997
with her parents and her 9 year old sister. She
is currently attending the University of Toronto
where she is in her second year majoring in Psychology
& Biology and she plans on becoming an Orthodontist
in the future.
She considers herself a role
model to her sister which is why this opportunity
of being in the Miss Universe Canada pageant is
very important to her. Ghazal loves anything that
has to do with the outdoors. Playing tennis, soccer,
swimming, rollerblading, and biking are just some
of her favorite things to do in the summer.
She also loves being around her
friends and family. One of her hobbies is traveling
and wishes she had the opportunity to travel all
over the world. She sees life as ‘a one
way journey that you can never turn back’.
Ghazal values her time and is
always challenging herself to make the best of
it. She is busy with school which she loves and
in her spare time, she loves listening to music
and dancing.
If she had the chance of becoming
Miss Universe Canada, she would dedicate her time
and effort to raise awareness to important issues
such as child molestation and try to create and
enforce laws against it. She would also raise
awareness to the wildness that we destroy everyday
(tropical rainforests and animal cruelty).
There are certain crazy things
she would like to do in here life time (bungee
jumping, sky diving, swimming with sharks, and
a few more). Ghazal is proud to be a Canadian
and appreciates everything Canada stand for, not
only a multicultural country rich in different
cultures, but a country of opportunities for people
from all walks of life.
