Catalina recently
graduated from the University of Waterloo with
an Arts and Business, Political Science Honours
Co-op degree. She currently works full time at
an international bank while managing her singing,
songwriting, and acting career on the side.
She began singing at the age
of 3 starting off in school and church choirs.
She later took on private vocal lessons and soon
began writing her own songs. This eventually opened
up doors for her into the modeling and acting
industry. It has not been easy having two very
different careers but Catalina is always up for
a challenge, which has helped her to become very
well-rounded and flexible.
On her days off, Catalina enjoys
traveling and exploring different cities, cultures
and food. She has a strong passion for working
with people and for learning different languages,
speaking English, French, Spanish, Cantonese and
a little bit of German and Japanese.
Through her co-op program, Catalina
has also gained a background in many different
fields, having worked in many different industries
including software, technology, human resources,
communications, business and law. She has completed
her Cisco Certification, represented her university
as a delegate at the Harvard Model United Nations
conference and has been an active volunteer with
many organizations such as Child Find, Kids Help
Phone, Heart and Stroke Foundation and Habitat
for Humanity.
Her long-term goals are to become
an ambassador for the United Nations as well as
to continue pursuing her singing and acting career.
She hopes to one day release a CD and be in an
action movie.
