Annie was born and raised in Toronto. She has spent the last five and a half great years studying in Ottawa and it was a great experience for her living away from her home as it helped her be independent and made her a mature individual. She is a software engineering student at the University of Ottawa and she’ll be graduating at the end of this August.

Annie works very hard and constantly challenges herself by seeking new ways of expanding her experiences through achieving her personal goals. She may appear focus and serious, but at times she is a child at heart she loves laugh and have fun. Her favourite colour is pink and favourite flavour is strawberry. Annie loves munching on snacks and trying different kind of food. She enjoys singing, dancing, playing competitive badminton, taking pictures, and playing Texas’s hodem poker.

Annie likes socializing and being around people, but at times she enjoys quiet time reading novels, books anything that is interesting or allows her to learn something new. She has the passion to express herself in a meaningful structure, whether if it’s through art, writing or even the dressing in different styles. She considers herself a loyal, faithful, direct and compassionate person and appreciates her friends. She values great long lasting friendships, and cherishes the unforgettable experiences that come along leaving behind the pleasant memories.

Dealing with her parents divorce when she was very young has given her a more mature, adaptive, optimistic and independent mind frame. She believes in establishing emotional and financial security by herself because nothing feels more rewarding than achieving your goals. Her ambition includes completing her engineering degree and there's a possibility of pursuing graduates studies and starting her own business. She is open to future opportunities and surprises. Annie likes trying new things and may be curious sometimes: ‘the best way to find out about something is to give yourself a chance to try something you haven’t done before’. She is not too concerned with success of the outcome, but the journey of process is what delivers great learning experiences.

"Self-Fulfilment", she believes certain people are content with specific aspects of life, but it’s not necessary that one specific thing will make everyone happy. ‘Every individual is unique and has their personal set of standards, morals and values that would make life worth while’. Annie is very fortunate to know exactly what she wants in life. ‘It’s through achieving my personal goals that will allow me attain an idyllic mind frame. I want my life to be splattered with as much shades of colors as possible. I am very happy and content with most aspects of my life. More and more each day I discover myself and learn to love myself even more for who I am.

I value the experience of overcoming all those challenges that presented in my way just to make me a stronger and a better person. I really appreciate the people who have touched my life and the people who are still in my life particularly my best friend who I known for 16 great years. I’m especially grateful for my soul mate that has been there for me all times. Life is similar to an hour-glass, don’t take the smallest things for granted, and so with that said, embrace every single particle of sand that falls. I feel really blessed and I’m enjoying my life to the fullest; I wouldn’t trade places with anyone’ says Annie.
