Amanda was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario Canada and currently works for the country’s largest company, Manulife Financial. Being the youngest in a family that has been largely involved in many aspects of the fashion industry, Amanda has always had a passion and interest in this field.

She has worked as a hairstylist, cosmetician and also has modeled in the past. Amanda’s passion for designing jewelry has led to starting her own jewelry and accessories business, which has been one of her lifelong dreams.

If Amanda were to become Miss Universe Canada, she would use this opportunity to support organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, AIDS Foundation and the WSPA Foundation (World Society for the Protection of Animals) as all of these organizations are dear to her heart.

Amanda is an outgoing, enthusiastic, people person and her vivacious personality and inviting smile are infectious to anyone who meets her. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, visiting the beach, traveling and meeting new people. She also has a passion for the arts and is currently studying acting to live out one of her dreams. Amanda has been involved in the “Look Good Feel Better” campaign; an organization that helps cancer patients cope with the effects of their disease by providing services in aesthetics to improve their quality of life and self-esteem.
