Sun has always had a passion for adventure and strives for excellence.  Whether she is helping her parents on their family farm or speaking to young adults about motivation, education and self-esteem as a British Columbia Ambassador, she does so with grace, confidence and effect.

Sun, bilingual in English and Punjabi, is currently furthering her future career goal of receiving her Doctorate in Medicine by preparing for her Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and will continue to complete her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology at Simon Fraser University this fall.  Sun also enjoys being a leader and guiding others while working as a part-time Certified Laser Technician for Laserium CosMedics as their Manager.

Sun finds it very fulfilling to lend a hand within her community and as such during her reign as Miss White Rock 2003/2004, she volunteered at numerous local and provincial events and was honoured for her work by the Premier of British Columbia, Gordon Campbell.  She is currently on the Board of Directors of the White Rock Youth Ambassador Program which is a non-profit volunteer service program for young women who have potential as future leaders.  She also enjoys volunteering in the ER at Peace Arch Hospital.  Sun is especially proud of her Family Team which raised over $14,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s “Run for the Cure 2006.”

Although always keeping busy, Sun understands the importance of priority, respect, happiness and always staying true to your values.  Her parents, born in India, are living examples that everything is achieved through hard work and determination.  Sun also lives by those same morals and believes in making the best out of every situation.  She enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family whom she would like thank for their unwavering love and support.

Sun never gives up the pursuit for a challenge and thus is looking forward to her experience with Beauties of Canada.  She would love to help shape the future generation of Canada and believes we are blessed to be living in such a beautiful, diverse country where individuality is appreciated and freedom of speech is respected.
