Sonja McCree, 23 years old, immigrated to Canada in 1990 from beautiful Trinidad and Tobago. Sonja speaks English and French, and worked as a Real Estate Agent.  She is currently pursuing studies in Translation at Concordia University (Montreal) and plans to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Operation Management at the John Molson School of Business.

As a survivor of Lymphoma Hodgkin’s Cancer, she has become a stronger person and is highly motivated to share her experience with others to show them that one can live a dream, even after a major illness or difficulty.

Her dream is to become a spokesperson for organizations working to fight society’s major illnesses such as cancer and heart disease, through fundraising, research and development of remedies.  She aspires to promote healthy lifestyles, non-smoking, good dietary habits, physical fitness, etc. This would be Sonja’s way of giving back to society, both private and corporate.
