Twenty-one year-old Lily Wosar of Edmonton, Alberta is a graduate of the highly acclaimed Music Program at Grant MacEwan Community College. Her studies in the Comprehensive Major of the prestigious program were focused on vocal performance, arrangement and song writing, and concluded with an Honour Roll Grade Point Average and her name on the Dean’s list.
Since graduation, Lily has taken time to pursue extensive travel opportunities in the U.S, Latin America, the UK, and Europe. One of her fondest travel memories was the opportunity to perform at the celebrated Carnegie Hall during a trip to New York City in 2005.
From a young age, Lily has been involved in a variety of extra curricular activities ranging from Ballet to Kung Fu. Her natural performance abilities coupled with an ambitious drive, gave Lily the inspiration to enter her first pageant. While over 500 contestants vied for a spot in the National finals of the 2006 Miss Grand Prix of Edmonton competition, Lily successfully advanced to 4th place in both the Regional Finals and the People’s Choice Award Category.
Lily’s travels have offered her insight into the lives of the less fortunate, and she has gained a feeling of obligation to give to those in need. In addition to volunteer time, she gives active support to The Canadian Breast Cancer Society, Child Find Alberta, The Canadian Diabetes Association, The Stollery Children’s Hospital and Canada’s oldest public broadcaster, the CKUA Radio Network.
Sincere thanks and appreciation go out to
all of Lily’s supporters for their continuous love
and encouragement.
