21 year old Kristin was born and raised in the small town of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. She spent the last two years studying marketing in the business administration program at Red Deer College, and recently graduated with honors. She plans to continue her education by pursuing a business commerce degree and an MBA, possibly internationally. She also would like to become fluent in Spanish as a second language. Currently she works at the family business Quinn Contracting Ltd. as an accounts payable technician.

Over the past year Kristin has enjoyed her responsibilities as Miss Red Deer 2006 as it has allowed her to meet a lot of new people, make lasting friendships and support very worthwhile charities across Central Alberta. Volunteering her time is something she plans to do more of, because she has a passion for helping people, and it gives her a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. She takes pride in her education and self-confidence, as she believes that these are two essential tools to success.

Some of Kristin’s hobbies include traveling, swimming, reading, dancing, and of course spending time with her family and friends.

If crowned Miss Universe Canada Kristin would like to become more involved with the Children’s Wish Foundation, disaster relief programs and drug awareness/rehabilitation programs. She would also like to encourage, inspire, and motivate people to make a difference in the lives of others.
