What is the craziest thing you have ever
done?
I once dressed up, along with my younger sister, as
a member of the ‘Spice Girls’ and preformed
live a raw version of “Spice up your life”
onstage at a local mall in front of a large majority
of my small hometown community in hopes of winning
my sister a package that included concert tickets
and a chance to meet the Spice Girls!
What charity/charities have you supported
with your time and/or resources over the past two
years?
The Ontario Special Olympics, Development and Peace,
Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association of Peterborough,
Terry Fox Run, Canadian Breast Cancer Fund, and the
Red Cross. All of these organizations, as well as
many others that I have been involved with in the
past, exemplify the importance and power of teamwork
and a selfless attitude when others are in need.
What would be your “dream job”
in life?
At a young age, my father instilled in me a deep sense
of appreciation and respect for family unity and the
desire to assist others. I would like to integrate
my upbringing, passions, skills, and love for children
to positively influence youth and aid those from all
different backgrounds by becoming a child psychologist.
Name one personal accomplishment (in addition
to being a Miss Universe Canada contestant) that makes
you especially proud.
Learning has always been a tool for success and happiness
in my life. Becoming an Ontario Scholar enabled me
to attain a title that was based solely on academic
performance. The process of this achievement required
discipline in areas that include many essential factors
to success, such as communication with those of higher
power, dedication, motivation, punctuality, delegation,
prioritization, time management and optimism. This
has been a substantial accomplishment for me thus
far given that it has contributed to several academic
scholarships and placed me on a path of excellence
and opportunity to become a high achiever.
What is the most important thing you want
people to know about you?
I am real, hard working, and driven. I have a fun
loving and compassionate spirit. I have always lived
my life answering to myself and maintained the status
of my authentic self. I am constantly trying to challenge
myself and seeking new ways of improving.
What is your favorite movie, song, sport,
and food?
Favorite movie: Remember the Titans
Favorite song: “Live like you were dying”
by: Tim McGraw
Favorite sport: hockey
Favorite food: Any of my family member’s homemade
cooking
What would you like to accomplish if you
win the Miss Universe Canada title?
I would like to have the opportunity to utilize my
interest in public speaking to motivate and positively
influence today’s youth by guiding them in areas
such as family communication, self esteem, education,
drive, and health. I would like to be a contributing
factor to many of the enriching and worthy charitable
causes that the Miss Universe Organization is associated
with, as well as a successful ambassador of my amazing
native country Canada.
A motto that has served you as inspiration.
I have two:
1. “Everything in life happens for a reason”
2. “Carpe Diem – Seize the day!”
