What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

At the age of 15, me and my friends tried to sneak backstage at the NSYNC concert. Unfortunately, we got caught by they security guards, but they were nice enough to let us stay.

What Charity/ Charities have you supported with your time and/ or resources over the past two years?

I helped my high school organize fund raising concerts and performance for various charities such as the Children’s Wish Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, charities for burn victims as well as abused women. In addition, I volunteered at my church for World Youth Day. I was in charge of advertising the event, finding housing for the children, and helping at the Welcoming Party.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job would include marketing, fashion, and networking with people. Therefore I would find public relations to be a field I would enjoy. Interacting with clients and designers on a daily basis and presenting my creative marketing ability to them would be a job that I would never get tired of doing.

Name one personal accomplishment that makes you especially proud.

Coming out of high school, and beginning adulthood, there were many changes in my life. Especially, within the last year, I found it difficult to balance my time between my university studies, my job, family and friends and the Miss Universe Canada Pageant. A personal accomplishment for me has been finding a balance in my life and taking the time to enjoy each aspects of it.

What is the most important thing that you want people to know about you?

I want people to know that I am an intelligent and extremely hard working person. I always set goals for myself whether it is at school, work or in my personal life. This keeps my motivated to reach my full potential and allows me to maintain my priorities.

What is your favorite movie, song, sport and food?

I am still a kid at heart and I love all the classic Disney movies. However, my favorite one has to be Cinderella because what girl does not hope for that fairy tale ending.

My favorite song is “I’m a survivor” by Destiny’s Child. The message in this song is to always have a positive attitude in life, no matter what happens. You learn valuable lessons from these difficult situations, and they only make you stronger as a person. I find Destiny’s Child to be inspiring roles models for young women, and I that is why I look up to them.

As a Canadian, I love to watch Hockey Night in Canada; I think it is an important tradition in our country. It has become our national sport and helped create an identity for our culture.

My favorite food is my grandmother’s homemade pierogies, which I could eat everyday.

What would you like to accomplish if you win the Miss Universe Canada?

As Miss Canada, I would want to get involved with communities, charities, and other organization across Canada to address some of our nation’s problem. For example, a recent problem has been teen and gun violence. I would engage in public speaking in communities and schools, and initiate programs that would help teens stay off the streets.

Another issue I feel strongly about is the abuse of women and children, I would want to create more awareness of this problem and help organizations, such as United Way reach out to these victims. But, overall, I want to be a good role model for my country and address the issues and problems that pose a concern for our nation

A motto that has served you as inspiration

“The greatest gift you will ever receive in life is knowledge”- words of wisdom from my Father.
