What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

One of the craziest things I have ever done was jump off a 20ft high bridge into freezing mountain runoff water in high school. Every year around graduation the whole class would go to the lake for “dam” day and hang out and jump off the bridge as crazy as that sounds. Although it was one of the craziest things I have ever done, I would do it ten times over again!!! The rush that it brought was unlike any other!!

What charity/ charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over the past two years?

I was Miss Teen Calgary 2003-04 and supported many charities. I participated in events for breast cancer, Parkinson’s disease, local food banks, and volunteered at many charity events for the Alberta Children’s hospital.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

One job that I think would be so fulfilling and that I am working towards in school is going into sales. I think it would be so rewarding to feel so passionate about something, and for me to be able to share that passion with other people by telling them all about the product or whatever it may be, and let my enthusiasm rub off on them. Because when I am passionate about something, I guarantee you will know about it from me!! I mean I do have the dream like a lot of other people about becoming a famous actress or model one day, which would be my ultimate dream, but I do have a backup that I am working towards as well!!!

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a Miss Universe Canada contestant) that makes you especially proud.

Being crowned Miss Teen Calgary was a huge turning point for myself because it made me realize that I was capable of so much more than I would have ever thought possible for myself. It gave me so much self-confidence. Now I can do public speaking (and actually enjoy it) without being scared. I gained a lot of maturity and self worth through the people I worked along side with, as well as the people I encountered. Had I not gone for Miss Teen Calgary, I would have never even tried out for Miss Canada, which has already made an impact on my life and it’s just getting started!!

What is the most important thing you want people to know about you?

I want people to know that what the see is what they get from me. I am passionate about things that I believe in, I am driven towards my goals, and I have a love and drive for life that I hope rubs off on other people I encounter.

What is your favourite movie, song, sport, and food?

My favourite movie is Pretty Woman starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. My favourite movie is “How do I Live” by Trish Yearwood. My favourite sport is playing Volleyball, and hockey would definitely be my favourite sport to watch (go Flames go)!! My favourite food is anything seafood, especially sushi. I am up for trying any kind of food!!

What would you like to accomplish if you win the Miss Universe Canada title?

If I were to become Miss Canada there are endless charities and organizations that I would love to support. I would like to educate students on drinking and driving, and how to handle situations of peer pressure and making the right decisions. In addition I want to be able to influence individuals to pursue their dreams and just follow their hearts to true happiness. I want people to be able to look to me for support, and see me as a role model to demonstrate to them how determination and persistence can lead them to their ultimate goals and dreams in life.

A motto that has served you as inspiration

Live, Love, Laugh!!!
