About Jocelyn: With a passion for business, Jocelyn is presently in her first year at the University College of the Fraser Valley. She aspires to complete her Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration with a Marketing focus and open her own event planning company.

Jocelyn has travelled to South America on numerous occasions as a volunteer for Mission Impact International. On these trips she has met with political leaders, and spoken live as well as on radio stations. But the one thing on these trips that has touched her heart the most is a smile on a child's face: the result of providing food, clothing and friendship to one in need.

Interests: Relationships are number one in Jocelyn's life: God, family and friends. She also enjoys playing the piano as well as singing and writing music. On top of that, Jocelyn has also enjoyed dancing (all types) for sixteen years!

What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

While riding an elevator with my friends in another country, I decided to see what would happen if I opened the antiquated door of the elevator while it was going up. As a result, the elevator stopped and we were trapped for half an hour!

What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over the past two years?

Over the past five years, I have traveled with Mission Impact International to bring supplies (food and clothing) to third world countries. While in these countries, I have spent time with countless children. It is a pleasure of mine to impact their lives while visiting them personally and as a guest speaker/dancer at large scale events.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job would be to own a business that organizes international events through motivational speaking, music and dance. I would love to be the Master of Ceremonies promoting the humanitarian aid that I am so passionate about.

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a Miss Universe Canada contestant) that makes you especially proud.

A personal accomplishment that makes me proud is that at the young age of fifteen, I was a guest speaker at events with audiences exceeding 5000. As a result, I was invited to speak on several radio stations.

What is the most important thing you want people to know about you?

I am a woman of integrity and one who will always be loyal to my faith & relationship with God, my family & friends, business & destiny, and to my character through integrity.

What is your favorite movie, song, sport, and food?

Movie: Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken

Song: “You Lift Me Up”, Josh Groban

Sport: Dancing (Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop)

Food: My mom’s cooking

What would you like to accomplish if you win the Miss Universe Canada title?

If I would be so honored to achieve the Miss Universe Canada title, I would speak to people of all ages in regards to their self-worth and achieving their goals & aspirations. As Miss Universe Canada, I would also be privileged to promote Canada as a wonderful country to live in and travel to.

A motto that has served you as inspiration.

“And this above all: to thine own self be true” -William Shakespeare
