Lucie Novakova moved to Canada with her family in May 1990 from the Czech Republic. She graduated with honors from Tourism and Travel at Mohawk College in 2001. She obtained a personal trainers' certificate in 2003 from the National Endurance Sports Trainers Association in British Columbia, where she lived two years after graduating from college. Her career goal is to operate her own business in the entertainment industry. Her hobbies include playing the guitar, belly dancing, playing volleyball and modeling.

She would like to become Miss Universe® Canada to support the program for Alcohol and Drug through the Police Department to help reduce the number of young children being addicted and to provide positive peer pressure. Lucie speaks fluent Czech, Polish, and English.
