Deena Ali is currently in her second year at the Schulich School of Business at York University. She aspires next to attend law school, intending thereafter to focus on family law and someday work to protect the legal rights of children. She is passionate about athletics, and has figure skated since age five. In addition to her own skating, she teaches lessons, hoping to pass the joy and feeling of accomplishment she derives from the sport onto her students.

She volunteers at the Hospital for Sick Children. She works in the capacity of teacher, confidant, and friend, while learning there are no limitations to the human spirit, and few substitutes for courage.
