About Gratiela: Gratiela graduated from the University of Waterloo where she earned a BSc in honors Kinesiology. Since her graduation, Gratiela has been working in the health food industry, where she gained great understanding and appreciation for natural healing plants to build and restore health. Her goal is to attain a master’s degree in physiotherapy and open her own practice. Giving back and assisting others has always been a rewarding feeling for Gratiela, which, as a physiotherapist, would continue to be gratifying.

Gratiela enjoys working in a hospital/clinical setting and has been a devoted volunteer for over 3 years. Some of her personal accomplishments include earning first place prizes in several German language competitions and receiving a French language University Bursary award. She speaks four languages which on many occasions ensue advantageous.

Interests: She enjoys working with children and taught as a language teacher for 4 years. She describes herself as a dedicated and passionate individual who strives for perfection. She loves to travel and is astounded by nature’s beauty. She also likes staying active (playing tennis, volleyball, swimming, dancing) and singing.

What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

Jumped into an ice-cold river off a 35 meter (115 feet) high cliff.

Vancouver Sun Run - The Vancouver Sun raise-a-reader campaign and British Columbia’s amateur athletes

What would be your “dream job” in life?

Becoming a Physiotherapist

I am genuine, honest, compassionate…

What is your favorite movie, song, sport, and food?

Movie: any suspense movie (drama, thriller, action, horror)+ comedy

Song: don’t have a favorite song (R&B, hip hop, Latin, ethnic music)

Sport: tennis, volleyball, swimming

Food: Italian cuisine, salads
