What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

One time, when I was 16 I went sea-doing in the lake Ontario in mid April. Not only the lake Ontario is considered not exactly the most ecologically clean body of water, it is also incredibly cold at that time of the year. My friend and I fell into the lake as we were dong a sharp turn. To say the least, it was definitely refreshing. I will never forget that experience.

What charity/charities have you supported with your time and/or resources over past two years?

I volunteered for a Ukrainian Charity Children of Chornobyl Canadian Fund. I also raised money for Canadian Cancer Society and did fashion shows for various charities. The most recent one was Fashion Against Poverty – an event that raises money to benefit the poor in Latin America and Caribbean.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

Although I have not fully chose my path in life, one dream job would be – a host of a TV show about travelling to exotic destinations around the world. I think I would especially enjoy a job where I’d find fulfillment and satisfaction- whether it is being in the public eye or working with people to somehow benefit their lives.

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a Miss Universe Canada contestant) that makes you especially proud.

Apart from academic achievement, I am also proud of getting over insecurities and learning to love myself for who I am. I believe it is of paramount importance for all of us to have confidence and faith in ourselves and truly love who we are.

What is the most important thing you want people to know about you.

I love to have fun, laugh and live life to the fullest. I cherish great friends and unforgettable experiences since these are the things that fill you life story with joy and pleasant memories. I am also easy to get along with and I love to go to social events and be surrounded by people. I am much like chameleon in nature and adapt easily to different surroundings and places and fit in almost in any group. Having to change schools and homes many times in my life has taught me a great deal about people and myself.

What are your favourite movie, song, sport, and food?

Movie – “The Beach” and the musical “Chicago”

Song – “All I do” by Stevie Wonder and the house remix of it by Cleptomaniacs.

Sport – Extreme Sports – surfing being my favourite

Food – Japanese

What would you like to accomplish if you win the Miss Universe Canada title?

Given the opportunity I would like to educate the younger generation of the importance of dreaming big and believing in themselves. I would talk about my experiences of moving to a new city a few too many times, moving to a new country, changing schools and always having to find new friends and learning to be accepted. Many children as a result of feeling as a misfit and lacking guidance get on a dangerous path as teenagers. I came close but I smartened up and went after my dreams. I would try to inspire the new generation to be the best they can be.

A motto that has served you as inspiration.

With your eyes in the stars and your feet on the ground you can achieve anything.
