
Miss Universe Canada delegates are chosen each year by
competing in local and regional casting calls and pageants
held in selected areas across the country.
MAIN EVENTS AT CASINO DE MONTREAL
Fifty two delegates from across Canada will compete for
the title of Miss Universe Canada 2006
awarded on Tuesday, March 21st, 2006. The contestants
will arrive in Montreal on Saturday, March 11th to kick
off Pageant activities and spend time getting to know
each other, rehearsing for the show, and visiting Montreal
and the surrounding area.
The pageant consists of
two separate audience attended events for which you must
be 18 years or older to attend:
*Pageant Presentation
Show (Saturday, March 18th, 2006)
All 52 delegates from across
Canada compete before a live audience and a ten-person
judges panel in the traditional categories (Swimwear and
Evening Gown) for the chance to be selected as one of
the top 15 semi-finalists.
Tickets
for this show will be $40 and $60 inclusive of sales taxes.
*Pageant Finals
Show (Tuesday, March 21st, 2006)
The top 15 semi-finalists
selected from Saturday's Pageant Presentation Show compete
for the title of Miss Universe Canada 2006 in front of
the same ten-person judging panel as well as our live
audience in the traditional categories (Swimwear and Evening
Gown), plus the addition of a live interview/question
and answer segment. However, all 52 delegates will be
involved in production numbers throughout the show.
Tickets
for this show will be $100, $150 and $250 inclusive of
cocktail reception, dinner, show, coronation party and
sales taxes.
