What is the craziest thing you've ever done?
The craziest thing I have ever done is I went back
packing with my youth group to the top of Trophy Mountains
in Clearwater, BC. I honestly did not think I would
make it and when I did, I was so excited! We camped
there for one night and even had to hang our food
over a cliff at night so the bears would not find
it. It was a trip I will never forget.
What Charities have you supported with your
time and/or resources over the past two years?
I have taught Sunday school for 2 years in a row
now. It’s so incredible to see the children
grow up and become more knowledgeable about the world
before our eyes. Also, I have volunteered at New Life
Mission in the kitchen with my Opa when I had weekdays
off.
What would your dream job be?
My “dream job” in life would be a high
school student counselor. I would really like to just
make life a little bit better for one child and I’ll
feel like I’ve done my part. Also, I feel that
I could empathize with many things that a student
goes through in their high school years.
Name one personal accomplishment that makes
you especially proud.
One accomplishment that makes me proud is getting
over my stage fright and performing in front of my
grad class and our families. I was so nervous, but
I got up there and sang as best as I could and I lived
through it!
What is the most important thing you want
people to know about you?
The most important thing I want people to know about
me is that I’m a Christian. I believe in God
and I try my hardest to be more like Jesus in my everyday
life.
What is your favorite movie, song, sport,
and food?
My favorite movie is “A Walk to Remember”.
My favorite song is Natasha Beddingfields’ “Wild
Horses”. My favorite sport is snowmobiling.
My favorite food is Lasagna.
What would you like to accomplish if you
win the Miss Universe Canada title?
I would like to accomplish setting up an anti-bullying
campaign if I won the Miss Universe Canada title.
I’ve seen too many young people depressed because
of one person who has made it their job to bully someone.
A motto that has served you as inspiration?
A motto that has served me as an inspiration is “I
can do anything I put my mind to”. It may sound
cliché, but it’s so true. As long as
I put my all into something, it would all work out.
