What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

The craziest thing I have ever done is when I was backpacking with my friend in Florida. We went to the Everglades and decided to go kayaking through the lagoons, where there were crocodiles. It was scary as we kayaked past a couple of crocodiles that were lounging in the sun just a few meters away.

What would be your "dream job" in life?

My dream job in life is to become a physiotherapist. I am going to pursue this dream in the near future. This is my dream because I want to help other people overcome their physical pain in order to help them live a more comfortable life.

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a Miss Universe Canada contestant) that makes you especially proud.

One personal accomplishment that makes me especially proud is going to Korea to teach English. I went to a small city in Korea, named Gumi, in the year 2001, and was an English teacher for children between the ages of 8 to 12. I am very proud of this time in my life because it not only gave me a chance to educate children but it also gave me a chance to be educated by them. I learned a lot about cultural norms, about a different beautiful culture, and about always working hard. It gave me an opportunity to love and be loved by children and it also taught me how it is very important to be the best example you can be.

What is the most important thing you want people to know about you?

The most important thing I want people to know about me is that I am a genuine person. What you see in front of you and what I say is a true reflection of my inner self.

What is your favorite movie, song, sport, and food?

My favourite movie is The Sound of Music.
My favourite song is A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong
My favourite sport is swimming.
My favourite food is Cheloh Kabob, (a Persian dish), however I love food from all different cultures.

What would you like to accomplish if you win the Miss Universe Canada title?

I would like to use the initial excitement of winning the title to bring attention to the various causes that the Miss Universe Canada organization supports including the annual Heart Gala. I believe this is the most important time to have the general public recognize the charitable causes that the Miss Universe Canada organization supports.

I would also like to use my title to be a role model for children across Canada, and reach out to them and inflict upon them the right values and morals. Because the future of our country is in our children, I will want to teach them that you do have to work hard to get what you want, but you will achieve your dreams. I want to teach them to never give up on their goals, and to always have a destination and pursue that goal in a positive way. Starting with the children, I believe we can make the future of not only our country, but of the whole world, a better one.

A motto that has served you as inspiration.

A motto that has served me as an inspiration is “Rome was not built in a day”.
