What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

Spontaneously, in 2001, I decided to fly home for Christmas after travelling to four countries in eight months. Each of my tickets from these countries had a return clause, so I could not get a direct flight home. Instead, I used each return segment which, with layovers, took about 65 hours to return to Calgary. I then went back to Asia , seven days later!

What would be your "dream job" in life?

Although I have not decided on a specific career, I definitely want to work in Communication or Performance Arts. I am particularly interested in film and television media, either as a reporter, writer or actor.

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a Miss Universe Canada contestant) that makes you especially proud.

I am proud of raising and training my own horses, from birth to a competitive level.

What is the most important thing you want people to know about you?

As much as I enjoy meeting new people and travelling to new cities, I also enjoy spending time reading, writing and working with horses.

What is your favorite movie, song, sport, and food?

-Movie - The English Patient
-Song – "My Inmortal" by Evanescence
-Sport – Three Day Eventing (Equestrian)
-Food – Moroccan

What would you like to accomplish if you win the Miss Universe Canada title?

I would like to promote awareness and support, especially from Canadian youth, for the AIDS epidemic in Africa and for organizations that aid the poor.

I also hope to expand awareness of Canadian organizations, such as Calgary based CAWST, (Center for Affordable Water and Sanitary Technology) as an affordable solution for developing countries to access clean drinking water. This is especially significant in areas hit by disasters such as that which has just recently affected South East Asia.

A motto that has served you as inspiration:

“Perseverance is the key to success”
