What is the
craziest thing you have ever done?
While spending time in Vancouver, British Columbia,
friends and I took to some sight seeing and made
our way to the Capilano Bridge. We crossed the
beautiful canyon and found ourselves eventually
off course. Lost and weary, we climbed cliffs and
slipped down mud slides searching for our course
but wound up even further into deep woods. We waited
until sun fall and decided the best idea would
be to stay put. Eventually, cold and hungry, we
were rescued by park rangers carrying out routine
nightly searches.
Please list
any schools and universities (public/private/graduate/trade
or technical) you have or are attending, as well
as the area of study, graduation date and any
degree or certification you received. The most recent private trade diploma I earned
was in 2003 through, Industriel Alliance Pacific,
Finance and Insurance Institution. Aiding me in
pursuing the field of work I presently follow.
What charity/charities
have you supported with your time and/or resources
over past two years? |
Over the past two years
I have participated in such volunteer work, to name a
few; follow-up from my 2002 active participation through
a Montreal child and education care centre by the name
of Tyndale St. George's. I participated in the 2003 Becel
ride for Heart and Stroke foundation where I took part
in a 10km cycle-athon and raised six hundred dollars
towards the foundation.
I was elected chairwoman
for the corporate sponsorship of the greater Montreal
region for the October 2004 Breast Cancer Awareness funds.
I am an on-call volunteer at the Montreal Children's
Hospital aiding when there are shortages of permanent
staff for such events as, holiday interaction, seasonal
event planner and general occasion emergencies. My outlook
on volunteer work is, “Do onto others as you'd have them do unto you.” If
you are capable to assist where other can't manage, than
it's your duty to comply and support hold heartedly.
What would be
your "dream job" in life?
My dream job has been
to host the Canadian television show, Travel Travel.
I have a fascination for ways of life, a flare for culture
and a taste for new ideas. If we could share our ideas
with one another we could learn so much in such a brief
period of time. World education, learning from the past
and bringing forward into the future, is what I would
cherish given the opportunity to experience.
Name one personal
accomplishment (in addition to being a Miss Universe
Canada contestant) that makes you especially proud.
That I was able to instruct
my group of ten, four year old ballerina's, to carry
out their very first Christmas recital. Between the stage
fright, bathroom breaks, and general sense of co-ordination,
we managed to carry out a tear bearing, memorable, accident
free performance with memories that will last a life
time.
6. What is the most
important thing you want people to know about you?
I believe that I am
an authentic person, I bring forward into my daily life
my honesty and graceful charm mixed with my dedication
and hard working attitude. I believe that the sky is
only a target. I lead by example, promoting professionalism
and determination in everything I do.
What is your favourite
movie, song, sport, and food?
-My favourite movie
has forever been, The Sound of Music. Upon my first viewing
at the age of three, the captivation of family living
through the best of times and worst of times has grown
strongest with positive thinking, group motivation and
loving acceptance.
-My favourite song is by the artist
Jewel, song titled, Hands. I quote a powerful paraphrase, “I
will gather myself around my faith for light the darkness
most fear…Poverty stole your golden shoes but it didn't
steal your laughter...We will fight, not out of spite
for someone must stand up for what's right cause where
there's a man who has no voice there ours shall go singing…In
the end only kindness matters.” To me this song stands
for freedom, that through the battles of life we will
prevail and emerge victoriously.
-My favourite sport
is figure skating, nearly angelic, the art and skill
of figure skating is that of graceful ballerina movements
combined with gymnastic acrobatic abilities equates to
a theatrical performance gliding over ice.
-
My favourite
food is a home cooked meal, be it from my own family
or tasting the conventional delicacies of other nationalities,
I enjoy the taste of tradition.
8. What would you
like to accomplish if you win the Miss Universe Canada
title?
Should the opportunity
present itself, it would be the ideal circumstance for
me to return so much of what has been available to me.
Miss Universe Canada is a role model, lending her voice
to that which matters. As a spokeswoman for Canada's
people, I stand firmly behind community service. Assisting
those who are close to you and who are part of your society
is fundamental for a nation to flourish and be recognized
world wide as people caring for people.
Active participation
by any means possible acts as a building block, each
small action amounts into every large accomplishment.
I plan on assisting communities to endorse communication
and motivational programs for children and young adults.
My year as Miss Universe Canada will be filled with
public appearance promoting my obtainable Utopia philosophy.
A motto that has
served you as inspiration.
“You give but little
when you give of your possessions. It is when you give
of yourself that you truly give". - Kahlil Gibran
